Andrew's 4th NICU reunion

Last weekend we took boys to the annual NICU reunion at Lion's Park.  This year was Andrew's 4th year going.  Both boys had a ball and we met up with all of our (not so little anymore) friends.  Maybe next year I can get a picture of the kids all together, it's tough when they run every which way and there are a zillion people there.

First we took Elliott on his first pony ride.  There's always a long line so we do that first.  I thought he might just try to cling to me but he liked it and liked looking around.

Me and the boys.  Although Elliott wasn't in the NICU, this day was special for him too!  He got to meet the doctor who performed my experimental surgery and allowed him to be born healthy and near term :-)

Next we rode the train because that also is really popular.  It is the big hit of the reunion for our kids.

We rode the big slide twice, but Andrew was too heavy to carry up again and was too nervous to walk up himself.

We saw the ambulance and played with this ball toy.  The kids loved it.

and then we rode the train again - this time Andrew was towards the front and Elliott and I were in the back.

When we circled around Andrew was next to us and could see us, he thought that was fun.

Here is a picture of Andrew and me at the NICU reunion in 2010.

and Andrew, about 3 months adjusted, sleeping through his first NICU reunion :)

Then the kids were melting down, so we went home to have lunch and leave for the lake, which will be another post coming soon!

What a great event! We drove past the park and wondered what the private event was. :)
