Elliott - 8 months

Age: 8 months

Weight: a week ago he was 18 lb + 10 oz

Length: Unsure.

Size: 6-12 fits well in all brands. Size 3 diaper. (Difficult to tell apart from Andrew's size 4 diaper, I am glad they are labeled.)

Teeth: He cut 4 teeth this month; top 2 & bottom 2 middles.

Hair: Holy hair, batman! I'm not sure how much longer we can wait to cut his hair; pretty soon it'll be in his eyes.

Sleeping: 7 pm - 7:15 am, naps 9-10:30 am, 1-2:30 pm. Extremely predictable and fully transitioned to 2 naps as of this week. Naps are less predictable when he has an ear infection; we've had no issues at night.

Eating: Drank less this month due to ear infections and teething; usually about 18-22 oz a day, sometimes less. He is now eating purees 3 times a day and loving all fruits & veggies & oatmeal we give him. We have completed all step 1 foods and are moving on to step 2. We tried Puffs this week; he gagged lightly but was able to eat a couple...I'm not sure he is quite ready.



Movement: Elliott has mastered rolling, pivoting, and reaching/inching to get what he wants - - usually his brother's toys and never his own toys. :) He is all over our family room. His sitting is still very slouchy and he falls over quickly. I suspect he'll be army crawling soon.

Milestones: Celebrated his first Christmas. Is started to recognize emotion and cries if other babies are crying. Cried at people outside of our immediate family 3 times; showing some signs of stranger anxiety. Sometimes holds his own bottle.

Favorite Toys: Andrew's toys. He has a strong preference for very hard teethers, whereas Andrew liked Sophie. He likes to try to chew on tables, blocks, books, wooden pieces, etc. He still likes the jumperoo. He likes his Poppin' Pal.

Dislikes: Having his face wiped. Lumpy food, like a mashed banana.

Likes: He's a Daddy's boy. He loves Andrew. His natural schedule. Reading.

Words & sounds: Babbling!!! "dadada" "mamama" and "bababa"
