1st day of "school"

Andrew had his first day of "school" today. Okay, so it wasn't really school, it was TOTS, but whatever! He was in a classroom, with a couple of other kids and 2 teachers, a new environment, new toys, and no mommy...

I thought TOTS would be a good introduction to a "school-like" atmosphere for Andrew. The group we joined is very small - his room has about 3 other kids who are not in daycare, so it means minimal exposure for Andrew to RSV, but still gives him an opportunity to grow in a social environment!

He did great!! He was happy when I dropped him off - he saw a car and immediately started to drive it around.

When I picked him up, he was playing happily with a car, driving it on a toddler-height toy shelf.

The teachers said he was a good boy and the easiest of all the kids because he didn't cry at all and was happy during his 2 hours there :-) He drank a lot of milk and ate a nice snack too! He even waved goodbye (with both hands!) to his teachers!

I'm proud of my little dude! He's come such a long way!

Oh that sounds great! I wonder if our area has something like this! Ryan loves little kids, and I want him to be around them too.

Glad he had a good time!
